We all want a comfortable night’s sleep and these sometimes provide this for us. It is the mattress depth that can alter the fit of the quilt, duvet cover, sheet set or bedspread you just purchased. Taking a little time to compare the measurements of your bed to the dimensions of the bedding item will save you the headaches of returning the comforter cover or quilt.
What style are you trying to achieve? French Country, Cottage, Romantic Shabby Chic, Primitive Americana, Contemporary, Lodge, Hotel and Transitional are some of the more common styles. Many of these styles can be mixed with positive results allowing you to change without re-modeling your entire bedroom.
Many styles have predominant colors that they are made with. This can represent another big challenge. Coordinating colors or even matching colors can prove difficult. You have wall, floor and ceiling color that needs to be balanced and pleasing to the eye.
Take your paint chips shopping with you. If you are shopping online, look into purchasing just one piece such as a quilt pillow sham. This is going to give you both color and pattern without the whole ensemble.
